Having two little ones—a 7-month-old and a toddler who’s almost 2 and a half—means our schedules can feel like a juggling act! They wake up and go to bed at completely different times, which can be a little chaotic. When the baby rises around 6 or 7 AM, I usually start by feeding her, and then I sneak in some self-care with my face routine and brushing my teeth.
After that, I’ll have her on the floor with me while I do some yoga, or I might pop her in a bouncer so I can get in a workout in my designated space at home. Once both kiddos are up and alert, I whip up breakfast for them, and we often head out for a walk together to soak up some nature. There’s something so refreshing about being outside; it really helps me feel like I’m taking care of my health while enjoying the beauty around us.
Note: And let’s be real, washing my face and brushing my teeth feels like a little victory amidst the chaos of motherhood. As a new mom, keeping up with hygiene can be a lot tougher than it seems!
My biggest tip? It’s all about time management and establishing a routine! When you nail down consistent times for your little ones—like wake-ups, nap times, and bedtime—it really opens up the window to fit in some time for yourself. Having that structure makes it easier to hold yourself accountable and stick with it. Plus, it’s amazing how a little consistency can help you breathe easier and find those moments for self-care!
