Having a two-and-a-half-year-old feels like a never-ending rollercoaster of food phases, doesn’t it? One week she’s all about the meat, and the next, veggies are a hard pass. Its like every time I find something she likes she suddenly switches her favorites! What I’ve found really helps is not to assume what she will or won’t eat. I just make the meals I planned, but I tweak them a bit for her—less seasoning and all that. I let her sit down and see if she wants to try it. If she doesn’t give it a shot, I won’t whip up anything else until she at least tastes it. But if she tries it and still isn’t feeling it, then I’m totally open to giving her something different.
To make sure she gets all her vitamins and nutrients, I’ve started adding a multivitamin and some other supplements into smoothies most mornings. It’s all about keeping it simple and enjoying the ride!
